It’s Scandal’s season finale and everyone is toasting the Presidential hopefuls. Of course, there are plenty of shockers in the episode that make it no surprise that the cast is drinking away their feelings. Check out this week’s recap of That’s My Girl complete with a guide to the cast’s fave cocktails.

Old Fashioned
Fitz – Old Fashioned
The current president is feeling the pressure because he’s introducing Mellie and her vice president at the convention. He agrees to be accommodating, but he’s still focused on his favorite person — himself. It takes an argument with Mellie and accidentally finding out about Olivia’s abortion to make Fitz realize he wasn’t the man either of them deserved. Fitz tells Olivia he supports her choice in reference to Mellie’s vice presidential pick, but we all know what he really meant. Looks like old-fashioned values, including being a gentleman, aren’t going out of style.

Sangria
Olivia – Red Sangria
Although wine is her signature drink, Olivia is going for something different this week. She’s standing up to her father, freeing Jake from Rowan’s grasp, and saving Cyrus from being blackmailed. Olivia’s meeting with Fitz goes better than expected and has the couple reminiscing about sweeter days. Just when she thinks everything is going smoothly, Cyrus’ choice for vice president puts a dent in her plans. It’s Olivia vs. Cyrus, but we know that Olivia is up for the challenge.

Tom Collins
Tom – Tom Collins
Though his relationship with Cyrus is still going strong, they discuss how to deal with Michael leaving and taking Cyrus’ daughter. Tom sweetly offers to get rid of Michael for good. Cyrus turns down that offer and says their relationship is the best he’s ever had, but dumps Tom at the end of the episode. Let’s just hope that drinking is the only part of Tom’s post-breakup plans.

Diplomat Cyrus – The Diplomat
The Presidential campaign has proven that the student has overcome the master, but is that really the case? Cyrus’ plans to get exactly what he wants involves manipulating Olivia into making Jake vice president so that Vargas is left without a pick. However, Cyrus nominates himself, which means he puts a lock on the vice presidency and gets his daughter and ex-husband back all in one fell swoop. That’s his version of the perfect diplomat.

Jake – Sidecar
Poor Jake never seems to be in the driver’s seat anymore. Although Rowan tries to blackmail Cyrus into putting Jake on the ticket, Olivia comes to Jake’s rescue. Olivia demands that Rowan release Jake because Jake is becoming Mellie’s vice president candidate. Rowan puts a gun to Jake’s head, but Olivia calls the bluff and leaves with Jake. Though Jake is happy to be free from Rowan, it seems he’s only a part of Olivia’s plan to take the White House, not the declaration of love he wanted.

Rowan – Champagne Cocktail
The plan to have Jake be vice president for Edison and then for Vargas totally failed. Pappa Pope’s hold on Jake is finally broken with Olivia’s help. Jake is now on Olivia’s team. However, as Rowan watches Mellie’s convention on TV, he seems delighted and is raising a glass in celebration. His daughter has gone and got herself some real power. That’s his girl.

See you next season gladiators!
