Halloween and Thanksgiving are right around the corner, so obviously pumpkins are soon to become a fixture on office desks, front porches, and storefronts. So, you’re probably wondering how your little squash is going to stand out.

Get your paints out and try these easy DIYs. You’ll add chic (and ‘gram-worthy) flair to your fall decor, and you can even keep these out all year round.

Doughnut Pumpkin

Supplies
1 small or medium white pumpkin
Pink acrylic paint
Various acrylic paints or watercolor
Foam brush
Small brush

Directions
1. Use foam brush to paint doughnut frosting onto upper half of pumpkin
2. Let pumpkin dry for 15-20 minutes
3. Use small brush to paint sprinkles onto frosting with various colors of choice

Boo! Pumpkin

Supplies
1 medium or large pumpkin
Gold spray paint
White acrylic paint
Black acrlylic paint
Black permanent marker
Pencil
Foam brush
Small brush

Directions
1. Spray paint pumpkin stem gold and let dry for 15 minutes
2. Use foam brush to paint pumpkin completely white and let dry for 15-20 minutes (note: it may take a few coats of white paint)
3. Trace “Boo!” or desired phrase onto pumpkin with pencil
4. Fill in tracing with black marker and black paint

Gold Dipped Pumpkin

Supplies
1 small or medium pumpkin
White acrylic paint
Gold spray paint
Masking tape or washi tape
Foam brush

Directions
1. Tape top half of pumpkin or desired portion (make sure to cover it completely!)
2. Spray paint untaped portion with gold spray paint and allow to dry for 15 minutes
3. Take tape off and use foam brush to paint other half and let dry for 15 minutes

Resting Witch Face Pumpkin

Supplies
1 medium or large sized pumpkin
Pink acrylic paint
Black acrylic paint
Black permanent marker
Pencil
Foam brush
Small paintbrush

Directions
1. Use foam brush to paint entire pumpkin pink and let dry for 15-20 minutes
2. Use small brush to paint stem and top portion of pumpkin to create a witch hat and let dry for 15-20 minutes
3. Trace “Resting Witch Face” or desired phrase onto pumpkin with pencil
4. Fill in tracing with black marker and black paint
5. Optional: Draw a broom with black paint or black marker and paint the wicks of the broom
