Spring is fast approaching! After rocking darker colors in the winter months, it’s time to switch up your nail color for lighter, more playful hues. “I loved all of my deep brown, green and red manis this winter,” Olive & June founder Sarah Gibson Tuttle tells FabFitFun. “But I am ready to brighten up!”

According to Tuttle, variations of pink and unexpected neutrals are going to be all the rage this spring. Keep scrolling to check out the pro-recommended nail colors that are, hands down, the best — no pun intended.

Soft Pinks

“Pink is everywhere,” Tuttle explains. “It’s one of the most versatile shades and no two pinks look the same.” Floral-inspired pinks are a no-brainer addition to your spring color palette.

Olive and June Pink Sands $8

You can’t argue that this sweet pink hue is an immediate mood-booster.

Ciaté London Plant Pots $12

With moody mauve undertones, this polish is all kinds of sophisticated.

Pastel Blue

While navy and other deep blues may be perfect for November and December, when March and April roll around, we highly recommend swapping them out for a much lighter, weightless blue hue. “Neutrals aren’t boring beige or creamy taupes anymore. Neutrals are light blue-greens…that go in every moment but also have that pop of fun color we love, no matter what,” says Tuttle.

Olive and June Angelfish $8

For a serene feeling of calm, we’re loving this white-blue color.

Orly Happy Camper $9.50

Change things up completely with this pastel turquoise that’s truly groovy.

Easter Egg Lavender

There’s simply no denying the importance of pastels when it comes to spring colors. And what better time to try out a purple than the most colorful time of year?

Zoya Kayleigh $10

Give this daring trend a try by painting your talons this creamy lilac.

Olive and June Cockatoo $8

Tuttle notes that this “barely-there lavender has an I’m totally together vibe.”

Mid-Tone Colors

For those who want to test the waters with a bit of color but don’t want to commit to full-blown pastels, mid-tone colors are your sweet spot. Tuttle also notes, “If you’re not quite ready to transition out of winter just yet, we’re seeing our community start rocking mid-tone colors too like…a denim blue and…a rich emerald green.”

Olive and June Besties $8

This is like the spring version of your classic red mani. The pinkish undertones add a playful spin to the whole thing.

Essie Jewels and Jacquard Only $14

So chic! This jewel-toned teal green is the perfect transitional must-have.

Magenta

Go bold and bright with a magenta that’s guaranteed to turn heads and surprisingly will compliment any look.

Sally Hansen Good. Kind. Pure. Nail Color Peony Origins $9

Embrace the beauty of spring florals with this bring pink polish that we’re seriously obsessing over.

Olive and June Wild Orchid $8

This rich shade is all about going bold and having fun.
