It’s officially summer time and there’s no better way to embrace the season than changing up your hair. Summer is a perfect time to step outside your comfort zone and spice it up a bit…with some color!

Below are five unique ways to add color to your hair for the hot, hot season:

Hair Chalking
Chalking is a quick, easy, and inexpensive method if you’re looking for a temporary hair color. You can do it yourself, and it doesn’t take long! Add beautiful pastels on the ends of your hair for a seamless yet unique look.

Dip Dye
Want to try something edgy? Go for a dip dye which immediately became trendy when Kylie Jenner surprised us with her teal ends. All you need to do is use a hair tie to section off your ends and apply dye to the chunk of hair below the hair tie. It’s such a fun way to give your hair a pop of color.

Bold Bangs
If you have bangs, try spicing them up with a little bit of color! Hair trends like balayage and ombre can look awkward on hairstyles with bangs but adding hints of color throughout will give a unique twist to dying your tresses.

Colorful Under Layer
Having one solid hair color can quickly get old and boring. But if you want change that’s not too drastic, dye the under layer of your hair a different shade. This will give your hair some contrast and it just looks awesome!

Reverse Ombre
Ombre can be done in so many different ways, but if you want to stray from the usual, try a reverse ombre. You will essentially have lighter roots and darker ends as opposed to the standard ombre. It’s a great way to go lighter for summer without having to dye your whole head.
