OK, so summer technically doesn’t start until June 20, but in our imaginations, summer starts right on Memorial Day weekend. We’re ready to bust out our crop tops, get our grills ready for the BBQ party, and shake up some fruity cocktails for the long weekend.

We found a delicious fruity recipe for you to try this weekend! Beauty and Essex created a melon mojito that will take your taste buds straight to summer — even if you aren’t spending MDW at the beach or in the pool.

Muddled mint
1 ounce Brugal
0.5 ounces Real McCoy 12yr
0.75 ounces melon puree
0.5 ounces simple syrup
0.5 ounces lime
Topped with Cava

1. Muddle mint at the bottom of your cocktail shaker, and top with ice
2. Add Brugal, Real McCoy, melon puree, simple syrup, and lime. Shake well
3. Pour into tall collins glass and top with Cava
