Congratulations are in order! The votes are in, and the 2016 Diane Von Furstenberg People’s Voice Award goes to…

Emily Greener of I AM THAT GIRL!

Yep, our very own Spring Box partner has been recognized in the seventh annual awards, and we can’t think of anyone more deserving.

The DVF Awards honor and support extraordinary women who have had the courage to fight, the power to survive, and the leadership to inspire. Co-Founder and CEO of IATG, Emily Greener, was nominated anonymously among three other women who have transformed the lives of others through their commitment, resources and visibility. Which makes her win even more meaningful.

I AM THAT GIRL, an organization that Emily started 6 years ago, goes above and beyond when it comes to making an impact. With over 150 local chapters and an online community of over 500,000, IATG empowers, supports and educates an engaged and growing community of girls from across the globe to love and express themselves through online and offline programs and initiatives. The goal is to create a new normal for girls, and to help cultivate a healthier, more powerful world.

Emily will receive $50,000 from the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation to further her work at IATG, and she will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Thursday, April 7 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on the occasion of the Women in the World conference.

Now that’s what we call girl power.
