Amidst these difficult times, Special Olympics continues to radiate positivity through the power of sports and inclusion. We’re joining their movement to end discrimination against people with intellectual disabilities, who need your support now more than ever.

Special Olympics is leading the charge for athletes with intellectual disabilities worldwide to stay fit and happy, even with competitions postponed in response to COVID-19. Special Olympics athletes need quality medical assistance that isn’t always readily available. Over 80% of health care providers are not properly trained nor equipped to treat people with intellectual disabilities.

We’re grateful to join this movement of inclusion and empowerment of people with intellectual disabilities who overcome isolation and exclusion through sport, and we hope that you will join us too. Here’s how you can help:

Contact your local program
Whether it’s learning how to treat people with intellectual disabilities, raising awareness on inclusive health care, or simply donating to the cause, find out how you can help your local Special Olympics program during these trying times.

Sign the inclusion pledge
Everyone should feel empowered to pursue their goals, no matter where they start in life. Take the Inclusion Pledge to help end discrimination against people with intellectual disabilities and create a more inclusive world for all.

Stay up to date on resources
From COVID-19 eLearning courses to weekly workouts in partnership with WWE, Special Olympics created resources to help everyone stay healthy and fit, even without access to equipment at home.
