It’s a new year, and with that comes a new set of hair color trends to dip our toes into — or, in this case, our strands.
While a few styles that were all the rage in 2017 are holding out for another year, there are new hair colors to take note of. So book an appointment with your hair stylist ASAP because you’re going to want to rock these luscious shades in 2018.
Golden Ombré
Ombré hair is still very much in, just a more toned-down version. The key here is to keep the gradient as subtle as possible.
Bleached White
Bleached tones were big last year and it looks like they’re going to be just as big in 2018. So if you’ve been wanting to go platinum blonde, it isn’t too late.
Salt and Pepper
This gorgeous hair trend was all over Instagram last year, and we’re so glad it’s here to stay. Add some cool grey tones to your locks if you want to switch things up.
Burnt Orange
This coppery hair color that blends orange, red, and brown is the latest (and quite possibly the best) way to rock orange hair.
Chocolate Mauve
Experiment with different shades of brown this year. The unexpected touch of pink creates a modern and trendy look — totally appropriate for 2018.
Jeweled Tones
Don’t take your hair so seriously this year. Instead, play around with wacky colors like deep teals, violet, emerald, and midnight blue.
Millennial Pink
Embrace the color that took the world by storm in 2017 by adding a pop of playful pink to your hair.
Ash Brown
If you’ve never dyed your hair before, then ease into the trend with a more classic shade. Plus, ashy brown is easier to maintain than a full-on colorful ‘do.
Strawberry Rose or Rose Blonde
L’Oréal just named rose blonde as the top hair color of the year. Get a head start on the trend and book an appointment with your colorist stat.
Face-Framing Highlights
Highlights are still very much on trend. Add a few to the strands framing your face for a sun-kissed look.
