The weather is cooling down and our lip colors are vamping up. The moment autumn hits, we’re ready to rock bold berry lips and earthy nudes all day every day — one swipe of these rich hues can take even the most simple makeup look to the next level.
From matte formulas to creamy rich satins, we’ve rounded up our favorite lipsticks for fall.
Not only do we get sultry ’90s vibes from this ultra-chic lippie, but it also complements pretty much any fall look. Rock the gorgeous brown during the day with minimal eye makeup or go for a more dramatic night look by pairing the matte lipstick with a shimmery brown smoky eye.
The Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks from Bite are super opaque and creamy on the lips. The formula is very creamy — in between a gloss and a matte lipstick — so it’s long lasting and very comfortable to wear. The Chutney color is especially gorgeous to rock during fall due to its rich pink-purple undertones that complement a variety of skin tones.
Spiced terracotta nude
Lolita II is a subtle spiced orange-red with soft pink undertones. It’s a stunning warm shade that adds a pop of color to any look. It’s classified as a nude, but we think it’s more of a red earthy shade, making it perfect for the season.
What we love most about the Matte Revolution Lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury, is that it’s easy to control the opacity of the color. One coat of Love Liberty is a pretty magenta berry shade perfect for everyday wear, but layered with two or three coats, and you’ve got yourself a deep purple that’s closer to a blackberry hue.
True dusty rose
Let’s face it, dusty rose shades like this Stila lippie are pretty much colors we live in year-round, but the color Patina in particular packs more of a deeper rose punch than most colors like it. Not only is the whipped matte lipstick extremely long wearing, but it also has notes of warm and cool tones that’ll flatter anyone.
Rich blood red
If we could give Vampira a staple lip color, it’d be Crimson from Urban Decay. The formula is not only budge-proof, but also extremely comfortable to wear. The rich blood shade is ultra sexy and vampy — perfect to rock during the cooler months.
Medium-deep brown with yellow undertones
Warm browns are some of our favorite shades to rock, especially come fall. Ashton is dark enough to be a statement lip but light enough to be considered a nude depending on your skin tone. Since it has a warm yellow undertone, it won’t wash your complexion out.
Deep warm plum
If you’re looking for a classic plum shade to rock this season, look no further — Miss Conduct from Smashbox is chic and will make you feel party-ready even when heading to the office…definitely a must-have for fall!
