These Beauty Trends are Worth Trying

Beauty trends are either a hit or miss, but trust us when we say some trends are actually worth trying.

Since it can be intimidating to test out a completely new product, we went ahead and tried three beauty trends so you don’t have to (charcoal teeth whitening powder, apple cider vinegar hair rinse, and mud masks). Spoiler alert: we loved the products so much we included them in the FabFitFun Fall Box.

Check out the three beauty products we’re going to be using throughout the season:

Charcoal Teeth Whitening Powder
While there are a variety of teeth whitening products on the market, most of them use harsh chemicals, which can damage the enamel and leave your teeth feeling sensitive and in pain. That’s why we were excited to learn about the all-natural alternative: charcoal powder. The Molr Dental Club Carbon + Coconut Teeth Whitening Powder and Toothbrush (a Choice item in the Fall Box) uses activated charcoal, which acts as a magnet to rid your teeth of stains without damaging enamel. To use, wet your toothbrush and dip the brush into the powder, tapping off any excess. Gently brush your teeth in circular motions (your teeth will turn black, but don’t freak out!) for one to two minutes then rinse — and you’re good to go!

Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse
Apple cider vinegar has been used as a nourishing agent for the scalp for ages. Not only does it cleanse the hair gently and naturally, it also leaves hair shiny, bright, and silky. Plus, it helps heal dry scalp during the cooler months and prolongs dyed hair. We’ve been using the dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse (a Choice item in the Fall Box) because it includes other amazing ingredients in addition to ACV like argan oil, fire tulip, lavender, and aloe vera. Use it in place of your shampoo and conditioner at least once a week whenever your hair needs a pick-me-up.

Mud Mask
Bid adieu to dry and dull winter skin with the Whish Beauty Renewing Mud Mask, a two-minute exfoliating mask that gently resurfaces dirt and grime from pores for the most youthful, glowing complexion. It features bentonite clay to pull impurities from the skin and bakuchiol, a 100 percent natural substitute for retinol, so you get all the benefits sans the dryness and redness. Apply a thin layer day or night and let it sit for two minutes. Gently wash off or remove with a damp face cloth then follow with your normal skin care routine for beautifully prepped skin. Love everything in the box’s. I’m always happy, and if it’s not your thing ( gift it ). My favourite are the charcoal for your teeth ..... my dentist commented on how white my teeth are ! also the hair treatment that came in the winter box is amazing. Thanks everyone Jude Bassett

I personally liked it. Should have picked another choice. That is the good thing about choices they give you. Anything I don't use I give to someone as gift.

I panicked when I first did it too because my teeth looked dingy. I kept rinsing the brushing and kind of did a once over with the brush until almost gone. Then I brushed by teeth with regular toothpaste, flossed and then all of the blackness was gone. It is a messy process but afterwards, my teeth were very obviously whiter than before. I will try it again but next time sit the container of charcoal on a paper towel and only use a much smaller amount. Hope this helps. You are right it was an easy cleanup and washed right out of my sink.

I use Carbon Coco's version of the powder. I've had it for several months and use a few times a week. It's best to only use it before bed and floss after so you don't walk around with any distinct blackness through your teeth. I use it with a pea sized glob or toothpaste so it's still s frothy mixture when brushing, and rinses easily out of the sink. You just have to be careful when actually dabbing the brush in. I usually dab it over a facecloth so all the loose powder falls onto it, as opposed to the sink itself. All in all, my teeth are noticeably whiter! I have gotten several compliments. Hope this helps

Hey you get either the apple cider rinse OR the charcoal toothpaste, not both! I got confused my first box because I thought I didn’t get all of the items but you only get one of each “choice item”

Are used the charcoal teeth whitening stuff and yes it can get everywhere if you're not very gentle with it. It did wash right out of my sink. I have a porcelain sink. However, I had to brush my teeth to her three times to get the black out of my teeth. I also lost. It left them dingy. I'm afraid to use it again. Has anyone else out there used it more than once?

I tried using the tooth powder last night. The black powder got on everything and won’t come out! My sink has to be scrubbed with an abrasive and my pjs...not expecting that at all.

ADA has not approved the use of charcoal for teeth. There have been a couple of studies that show that it is abrasive and can do damgage to your teeth. The ADA has suggested that there needs to be better studies on the use of charcoal for teeth before using. Why is this in our Fabfitfun box? I only found out about this because I googled to see if this would exactly work. I ended up going to the ADA site to find information. Be careful everyone! Please stop putting items like this in our box.

I got my FFF but I never got the stuff for my teeth. I did get the mask and the rinse. Could you please send it to me. Also, my husband and I are going through health problems. Please cancel my subscription after the winter box come out. Ty. Please do not take money out until the winter box is ready bc if financeal hard ship. Sincerely jan dilbeck.
