Well, the internet never ceases to surprise us – a photo of an egg just beat Kylie Jenner’s birth announcement for the most-liked post on Instagram.

The picture was posted on January 4 and has already racked up more than 32 million likes (with Jenner’s most popular photo at 18.3 million likes). The internet-breaking account, @world_record_egg, is now up to 3.9 million followers and has even been deemed a noteworthy figure with the blue check mark.

The person behind the hilarious account is still a mystery, but has hinted in an Instagram story that “it doesn’t end here,” and that “we’re only just getting started.” We’re interested to see what this gag account has in store, and we’ll definitely be following along to see how it plays out.
