Fitz- Let’s Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Lots of women are getting personal tours of the White House, complete with sexy time with Fitz. Let’s just say Abby has her hands full keeping the President’s visitors hidden from the rest of the world. There’s not much ruling the free world going on in the White House.
Secret Service Agents- Last Friday Night by Katy Perry
OPA gets a call from Abby revealing that some Secret Service agents partied a little too hard. Liv and her team run to the rescue only to find a dead hooker in the midst of the party. Not good. Though the team covers up the incident, Marcus has a feeling that this wasn’t just an accident. Turns out, the agents let the woman die and drugged her to cover it up.
Mellie- Rumor Has It by Adele
Mellie is after Fitz’s endorsement of her campaign, so she stops by the White House with her son for a little face time with the President. All is going well until the woman that Fitz is sleeping with that evening interrupts them. Awkward. Mellie storms out. When Mellie is gone, the woman asks Fitz about the rumors that Olivia is secretly running Mellie’s campaign. Fitz has no comment, but we know he’s not happy with the new political duo.
Oliva- Tainted Love by Soft Cell
Liv is still investigating Jake and his new girlfriend, Vanessa. No matter what anyone else thinks, she knows Jake’s up to something. Jake turns up in the middle of the night at Olivia’s to have his way with her, but Olivia stops him. When Jake sees that Olivia only wants answers, he leaves. Later in the episode, Olivia has to confront her old love, Fitz, about the kinds of men he’s employing in the Secret Service. It’s an awkward interaction, but Olivia tells Fitz he’s setting a bad example for everyone and has let things get out of hand.
Cyrus- That’s Life by Frank Sinatra
Still angling to get Governor Vargas to run for President, Cyrus shoves Vargas into the limelight. However, Vargas says he has absolutely no desire to work in the Oval Office. Cyrus finds out Vargas’ daughter is dying from cancer, which is why Vargas wants to stay close to home. So Cyrus makes up a sob story about his paralyzed brother that wouldn’t let Cyrus stay home because Cyrus had to go to Harvard and make it to the White House. Vargas has a change of heart and says he wants Cyrus to run his presidential campaign. This makes Cyrus and his imaginary brother very happy.
Susan Ross- Let It Go from the Frozen Soundtrack
In order to get the President’s endorsement for her campaign, Susan ignores her own judgment and follows Elizabeth’s advice. So, Susan goes on the Liberty Report to say that she supports Fitz’ education plan and Governor Vargas’ plan will never work. Finally, Susan realizes she’s not being the woman she wants to be and tells the President she wants nothing to do with his endorsement. From now on, she’s going to run her campaign the way she wants.
Jake- Chapel of Love by The Dixie Cups
Olivia arrives at Rowan’s house for dinner, but she’s in for a big surprise. Jake and Vanessa are inside celebrating their recent engagement. This trip down the aisle can’t be good for anyone.
