Bad news, everyone. Starbucks is shutting down all of its Teavana stores due to underperforming sales.

According to a press release, all 379 stores will be shut down by spring of 2018. It’s pretty hard to imagine that the mall-based retail store (which we always depended on for free tea samples) will soon be gone, but with mall attendance declining and online shopping stepping up, it was only a matter of time before Starbucks made the announcement.

Luckily, Starbucks is on track to create 240,000 new jobs globally and 68,000 in the U.S. over the next five years. This means the approximately 3,300 employees impacted by these closures will be receiving opportunities to apply for various positions at Starbucks stores.
