This might be our favorite Disney collaboration yet.
Disney’s Minnie Mouse has partnered with fine art photographer, Gray Malin, in honor of Minnie Mouse’s annual #RocktheDots campaign.
Malin is best known for his bird’s eye aerial shots of beaches and landscapes (you’ve likely seen his photos all over Instagram) — so needless to say, the limited-edition prints look amazing. Check out one of our favorites below:
Malin took inspiration from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and Minnie Mouse’s iconic polka dot dress to create his series, “The Red Carpet,” in 3D aerial landscape. He also shared with Refinery29:
To me, Minnie’s always embodied a little bit of Hollywood glamour. The more I started to look at the project from above, the more I started to realized that when you’re out on that carpet from the ground level, you’re instantly recognizable, but from above you’re sort of anonymous and anyone can be a star. It’s a whole new visual perspective where anyone on that red carpet, if you just change your perspective, then you as well can be the star, you can shine.
Malin also released his first ever video art along with the still life image series. You can find the prints here.
