Can’t stop yourself from hitting the snooze button every morning? We know the feeling.
Sometimes it’s just too difficult to drag yourself out of bed — despite the fact that you’re late to work and forgot to meal prep your lunches. Even so, we all know better. Quality mornings are important as they can set the tone for the remainder of your day.
So seize the moment with these quick tips and be your most productive self!
Lay off the snooze. You want to accomplish more during the mornings, right? Make time to do so! Set your alarm earlier and wake up ready to do work. Plus, you know what they say…“Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” And on that note…
Ease into it. Making the decision to wake up early is easy — actually doing it is a whole different ball game. Allow your body clock to adjust by gradually waking up earlier and earlier over time. Trust us, you’ll thank us later.
Learn the routine. Get in the rhythm of following a routine and stick to it religiously. Make a habit of doing tasks (going to bed at a certain time, applying skin care products, checking emails, going to the gym) in a particular order until it becomes almost second nature.
But first, water. No one loves coffee more than us, but despite popular belief, feeding into our caffeine addiction is not the best way to start the day. Instead, start with cold water. Hydrating early will help wake you up and give you energy throughout the day.
Work it out. There’s nothing quite like a morning workout to really kick start your day. Getting to the gym is a feat in itself, but imagine the feeling of accomplishing this before your work day even begins. #goals
Look within. Is it just us, or is meditation having a moment right now? Set aside some time in your mornings to just sit, breathe, and clear your head. This will help to ease any tension that you might have going into your day.
Make a list. Think about everything you want to accomplish the next day and write it down before you go to bed. It will help to organize your thoughts and prioritize your tasks to make the day more approachable.
Prep ahead of time. Pick out your outfit and pack your lunch the night before. Because why put off until tomorrow, what you can do today?
Don’t skip breakfast. We’ve heard it time and time again — breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Begin your mornings with a hearty and healthy meal to kickstart your metabolism and load up on fuel to carry you through the day.
Write it down. Get your juices flowing by journaling. List out affirmations or gratitudes to focus in on the good things in your life — this will help you start your morning off on a positive note.
