Pesto tastes amazing…but this refreshing twist on our favorite sauce tastes even better.

Instead of using basil, we opted for sage and pistachios to give it a delightfully nutty flavor. Spread it on a piece of toast or use it as dip with your favorite chips — either way, we’re certain this sage pistachio pesto will become your new go-to.

Tip: Source the sage wisely and make sure it’s not browning, (it should be farmer’s market fresh) so that the fresh flavor really comes through.

Sage Pistachio Pesto

½ cup fresh sage
½ cup pistachios, shelled
4 cloves garlic
½ cup olive oil
¼ cup water
1 lemon, juiced

1. In a food processor, blend all ingredients until smooth.
2. Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week.
