With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to think about date plans. If you have a significant other and you’re not looking to do anything extravagant, might we suggest a nice movie night with wine, cheese, and crackers?

Here are some classic V-Day flicks to watch on the Hallmark holiday.

The Notebook

Ryan Gosling, summertime, and an intense love story. Need we say more?

10 Things I Hate About You

This movie brings us back to our youth (who else remembers the infamous flash mob scene?). It’s such a great love story and reminds us of how great of an actor Heath Ledger was.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Audrey Hepburn can do no wrong in our book. This movie is a classic that you’ve either seen countless times or never at all. If you’re the latter, trust us, it’s worth watching.

Titanic

As sad as this movie is, it’s such a beautiful story of love, romance, and connection. Plus, it’s a good excuse to watch young Leonardo DiCaprio for two hours.

A Walk to Remember

Here’s another tearjerker to add to the list. This is one of our favorite movies as Mandy Moore plays a sweet and reserved girl who captures the heart of the school’s bad boy.

Dirty Dancing

Another classic, this movie hits every note of entertainment. Watch as two lovestruck dancers defeat all odds to make their love last.

Roman Holiday

Audrey Hepburn stars in this ’50s classic that’s sure to get you and your S.O. in the right mood for V-Day. Romance ensues when a European princess (Hepburn) and an American reporter meet.

Pretty Woman

This one is a little more lighthearted compared to your average romantic movie. Julia Roberts stars in this modern Cinderella story as she falls in love with a wealthy businessman.

When Harry Met Sally

This box office success is a fan favorite, and for good reason. It answers the age-old question, “Can a man and a woman truly just be friends?”

Fifty Shades Freed

If you want to get out of the house this weekend, you and your beau can head to the theaters for the third installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy.
