Spring cleaning — you either love it or you hate it. So we asked the #ladybosses of the FabFitFun Spring Box (snag your box today if you’re not a member yet) to share their rituals to help motivate and inspire you.

“I am not a neat person by nature. And while I do think there can be creativity in chaos – there’s still nothing I like more than a clean, organized space. For me, it is just about a yearly purge. I tend to keep everything, so each spring I try and clean out all of the clutter.” — Katie Ann Rosen Kitchens, Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of FabFitFun

“I usually start in my closet and dresser and get rid of anything that hasn’t really be worn since the last clean. After that, I just go through the house room by room to see what I’ve become bored of and add that to the Goodwill pile.” — Natalie Rafaeli, Co-Founder of Ettika

“Spring is the perfect season to focus on getting outside and to wash those winter blues away. The nature, the smells, and sights of Greece give me great energy and a feeling of happiness. In this time of the year, trees and flowers start to blossom in Athens and the weather is ideal for walks around the city and outdoor family escapes!” — Lena Korres, Founder of KORRES

“I am obsessive about cleanliness and organization, so I am basically always in a ‘spring cleaning’ frenzy (my husband doesn’t enjoy that side of my personality the most).” — Jennifer Kassell, Co-Founder of Understated Leather

“Spring cleaning is a big yearly event in my house and my whole family takes part. My rule of thumb is if I haven’t worn it in over a year then it goes! Nothing feels better than diving into our closets, collecting everything we really don’t need anymore, and donating it to charity! No good deed goes without reward – after all, we need to go shopping afterwards to refill all that newly found empty space!” — Jodi Lavian, Co-Founder of Dermelect Cosmeceuticals

“I prefer to be in a very uncluttered environment so I’m more into all season cleaning! I also just had a baby this December so there has been a lot of nesting going on!” — Maya Brenner, Founder of Maya Brenner Designs

“I am pretty good about keeping an edited closet (thanks to a personal organizer and stylist!). I usually do a spring closet clean out in March or April to give away items I haven’t worn in a year and then purchase a few key items. I am not much of a shopper, so this spring process is a sure fire way to make sure I actually buy trendy items but don’t clutter my closet.” — Jennifer Vaughan Maanavi, Co-Founder of Physique 57

“I always have a trash bag in my closet that I fill with clothes. If I try something on and it doesn’t work, I put it in the bag. I acquire a lot of clothes working in this industry, but more doesn’t necessarily mean better. Too many choices make getting dressed tough! So now I have an ongoing closet cleanout going on all the time.” — Rachel Pally, Founder of Rachel Pally

“I’m a bit of a lipstick/lip gloss addict, which can take up a lot of space! I recently purged most of my collection and replaced with three customized colors (pink, red, and nude) made at Bite Lip Lab here in NYC. The colors match my complexion perfectly and I love having three different colors to choose from to go with any outfit. Makes my life so much easier and I have less clutter in my cabinets!” — Tanya Becker, Co-Founder of Physique 57

“I am into spring cleaning but I’d rather do deep cleans year-round, so about every 2 to 3 months I try to edit my closet. I try to edit my beauty products a few times a month because those pile up a lot and I just think that when I have a clean, organize space, it helps my mind to be clean and organized as well so it’s very important for me.” — Kristen Noel Crawley, Founder of KNC Beauty

“I collect handmade stone jewelry and silver pieces that I sort through each spring. And I donate the items that I feel could make someone else very happy. Sometimes it’s hard to part with these collectibles each year, but I could probably string them end on end and they would stretch around the world at this point!” — Susan Anderson, Co-Founder of ANDERSON LILLEY
