When’s the last time you cleaned out your lingerie drawer? While high-quality undergarments can last years, there comes a time when you have to part ways with your stretched-out bras (yes, that includes your go-to push-up!).
Not sure which bras to toss and which to keep? Here are four things to look for.
The cup shape isn’t quite right
A telltale sign that your bra is too old is when the padding or your cups are rumpled. Ensure your ladies are properly covered by ditching the unsupportive bra.
The band is too loose
Daily wear can really take a toll on your intimates. When you start using the tightest hook, you know your bra has stretched out is close to its end.
It’s uncomfortable
Has a wire poked free of its casing? Is the clasp in the back digging into your skin? Is the fabric getting itchy? A bra that’s uncomfortable just isn’t worth keeping.
The elastic is worn out
It’s only normal that elastic gets worn out over time. If your bra starts to sag or ride up, its time has come. Want to make your lingerie last longer? Don’t put it in the dryer as the heat can reduce your bra’s lifespan!
