Instagram’s New Feature Is Going to Change the Way You Shop

Shopping on Instagram? That might actually happen.

Instagram will soon release a feature where we can shop items as we scroll through our feeds.

Instagram announced on Tuesday that they will work to encourage users to purchase products that advertisers and brands feature on their profiles. In addition, Instagram is going to add a new discovery tool where users can tap on an icon to see products that will also lead to more information about each item.

If you want to buy it, you will be taken out of Instagram and onto the retailer’s website or app to complete your purchase. Instagram has already partnered with more than 20 brands, including Kate Spade, Macy’s, and Abercrombie.

The new feature is only available to a select number of iOS users in the U.S.
