Instagram announced a new feature today called “Instagram Stories” — and it’s pretty similar to Snapchat’s “My Story” feature.
“Instagram Stories” enables users to compile photos and videos into a single stream “to share everyday moments.” Users have the option to draw and add text over their posts and the story disappears after 24 hours. Whenever a user adds new content to their story, a colored ring appears around their profile photo!
Users can view stories from accounts they follow where it’ll appear at the top of their feed. Just like Snapchat, you can message users on individual posts in the story and skip through posts or swipe through different users’ stories.
