With work, endless holiday parties, and last minute shopping, that doesn’t leave much time for anything else. In the case all you’ve managed to swing is a Charlie Brown-sized Christmas tree, check out these five hotels that have gone all out in the holiday decor department — so you don’t have to!
Hilton Anatole
The term “everything is bigger in Texas” is an accurate statement — especially when it comes to holiday decor. In Dallas, the Hilton Anatole features a stunning light display in the sculpture park (yes, there’s a sculpture park!), life-size ornaments, nutcrackers, two Christmas trees, Rudolph’s Singing Reindeer Barn, and then some. And there’s also a super cute Breakfast with Santa package that includes a holiday movie night and kids popcorn bar, cookie making classes, face painting, scavenger hunts, breakfast with Santa the next morning, and more.
Bellagio Resort & Casino
If you’ve been to Las Vegas during the holidays, you know exactly where to go to find the best holiday decor: the Bellagio. Through January 1, guests can peruse through the conservatory and botanical gardens to get a dose of holiday cheer. Think over 34,000 flowers (including several varieties of poinsettias, azalea’s, cyclamen, and ottowa mums), 750 shrubs, and 25 Silvertip trees from Mt. Lassen.
The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island
Through New Year’s Day, guests soaking up the Florida sun can get a real taste (pun intended) of the islands with a life-size gingerbread pirate ship. There’s also a 40 foot Christmas tree, holiday tea with Mr. and Mr. Claus, holiday feasts, and even fancy galas to partake in while staying on property. Four Seasons George V
If you find yourself lucky enough to be in Paris over the holidays, the Four Seasons George V is a must. While the property is already ridiculously gorgeous, there’s also an “Arctic Fantasy” installation in the lobby featuring Jeff Leatham’s life-size penguin and polar bear sculptures. Christmas Day Brunch and the Ice Lounge are also two things you should not miss out on.
The Roosevelt New Orleans
Spending the holidays in picturesque New Orleans? The Roosevelt is where it’s at. It’s pretty much as tricked out as it gets (in a classy kind of way, of course). Perusing through the hotel lobby will definitely lift your spirits, as there are endless Christmas trees decorated to the nines, Louisiana plantation gingerbread house depictions, poinsettias, and sparkly lights on white birch branches. If that’s not enough, there’s ongoing choir performances and Teddy Bear Tea — which entails a visit from Santa and holiday story time.
Need a little holiday cheer? Pack your bags and head to San Diego for some fun in the sun (70-degree weather, to be exact!) with a side of Christmas. Think sparkly lights, a life-size gingerbread house (which we hear cost around $10k to make, and weeks to bake and assemble), and even an ice skating rink right on the waterfront.
