With 2018 quickly approaching, it’s time to re-evaluate a few things in our lives — starting with our wardrobe. The first step? Take a look back at the trends and determine whether or not you’re going to continue rocking them in 2018.

Here are five fashion trends we’re ditching in the new year.

Lace-up Corset Belts

The corset belt may have skyrocketed to stardom in the blink of an eye, but its downfall is proving to be just as quick.

Tour Merch

You can thank the Kardashians for making tour merch pretty much a staple in your closet — but not for long. This is one trend that we’re definitely leaving behind in 2017.

Faux Fur Loafers

Perhaps the biggest fashion trend of 2017 was faux fur loafers. Sure, they’re soft, comfy, and keep your feet nice and toasty, but we always knew their time in the spotlight would eventually come to an end.

Thick black chokers

The ’90s trend made a huge comeback this past year, but it may be time to retire the style once again — but we’re still into rocking chokers that come in thin, dainty styles.

Plastic Shoes

Popularized by Yeezy, the plastic shoe trend was especially big this year. But if you really think about it, it’s kind of silly, isn’t it? If we’re dishing out cash, we should be getting shoes that at least cover our feet.
