How did you first discover your love for fitness and health?
I discovered my love for fitness and health as a child. I grew up on a farm in Colombia for the first nine years of my life. This meant having to wake up before 5 a.m. and being active in the farm all day long.

What makes your workout method unique?
The main thing that makes my workout method unique is my ability to teach people how to work out from the mind out. I’m able to help people channel their ability to focus on the appropriate muscle groups by using what is known as neuromuscular control. The main aim of neuromuscular control is to improve the ability of the nervous system, generate a fast and optimal muscle-firing pattern, increase joint stability, minimize the impact of joint forces during this activity, and to relearn movement patterns and skills to enhance functional movement with the aim of improving physical performance. [I also] focus on the importance of nutrition and proper eating. With nutrition being 80 percent of what determines a positive outcome, I make it a point to teach the key nutritional principles and simple cooking recipes that are also tasty to bring about great results.

What are people most surprised about when they first try your workout?
People are most surprised to find out that they don’t have to workout for a prolonged amount of time to feel and see results. The other great benefit is that it helps you cope with stress as you will find yourself really enjoying having to engage both mind and body during this type of workout.

Any client success stories?
I had a female client that went from nearly 300 pounds to 140 pounds within two years. It was pretty awesome seeing her blossom into a happier and more optimistic person.

How do you think fitness has changed in the digital realm?
The main change for fitness in the digital age is that information about nutrition and workout methods is a lot easier to access. There are also a lot of workout routines found online that are more conducive to one’s level of fitness.
