Wedding season is in full swing which means bridal showers are likely all over your calendar, too. If you’re in charge of planning one this year and the activities have you stressed, no worries. We found games and activities that all guests, from your little cousin to your grandmother, will love.
Each game is focused on having fun, the wedding, and, most importantly, the bride (duh!). Guests will get to know each other and the woman of the hour all the better with these activities that encourage creativity, humor, and good sportsmanship. Throw in a little champagne and some treats and you’ve got yourself a party. And don’t forget to have prizes on hand for the winners!
Two Truths and a Lie
This is the perfect icebreaker for guests to get to know each other. Have everyone say two memories with the bride as well as one fake memory. The person who guesses which is a lie wins points and whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins.
Ring Hunt
Hide 30-50 plastic rings around the living room and kitchen the day of the party. Guests can collect the rings throughout the day (or night) and whoever has the most by the time gifts are being opened wins!
Recipe for Love
Hand out Sharpies and wooden spoons to guests — have them write down a piece of marriage advice for the bride. Collect all of the spoons and the bride will read them aloud. Whichever are her favorites will win! Encourage guests to think outside of the box or to even get silly with their wisdom.
Panty Drop
Have each guest bring a pair of undies to the party (in the bride’s size) and drop them into a designated box or basket. The bride then tries to guess who brought which pair.
Who Am I?
Have guests write down a favorite or funny memory with the bride. Each will be read aloud and if the bride can’t guess which guest wrote the memory, the guest will get a prize!
Garter Toss
Think of ring toss but with a wedding twist! Divide the party into groups of three or four. Give each guest a garter and a bottle of champagne. Whichever team can successfully launch all of their garters onto the champagne bottle wins and can immediately dig into to the bubbly.
Famous Couples
Write down famous married men onto pieces of paper and put the slips in a bowl. Each guest will select their groom and must act out their famous wife. For example, if you picked “John Legend,” you would need to act out Chrissy Teigen. Make sure the couples are recognizable to all guests for this game to be a hit!
Pass the Bouquet
“Hot Potato” is back from your childhood birthday parties. Have everyone stand in a circle and pass a bouquet from guest to guest. When the music stops, the person holding it is eliminated. The last woman standing wins!
