If we were to define the perfect summer day, it would involve good company and delicious wine. Isabelle Novinska from Bright Cellars has us covered on the latter with her vino recommendations and serving tips.

The best wines for summer:

Rosé
“Enjoying the crisp flavors of red fruits with a punch of acidity from a dry rosé is [our] favorite way to cool down on a hot summer day.”

Pinot grigio
“Another crisp, bright, and acidic option to keep cool! Look for notes of tart apple and zesty lemon and lime.”

Welschriesling
“A classic from Austria, the citrus and minerality [are] so refreshing.”

Catarratto
“Catarratto is great when you’re looking for something with a little bit more body than the previously mentioned, while still packing that punch of citrus and acidity.”

Tips on how to serve wine:

Serve with fruit-infused ice cubes in a wine tumbler
“Try using an ice tray [like the Blush Pineapple Ice Tray] to freeze a few pieces of sliced fruit in some leftover wine (only a little to ensure it freezes!) to add some freshness to your glass. [Also,] the insulation from a tumbler [like the Corkcicle 12oz Wine Tumbler with Silicone Straw] will keep your wine perfectly chilled, no matter how long it takes you to finish your glass.”

Keep the wine bottle in a chiller
Use a stainless-steel wine chiller, like the Society6 Wine Chiller, to keep your vino cool throughout a hot summer day. “Keeping the temperature regulated will help savor the flavor as long as possible!”
