So why exactly is Pantene bad for our hair if it is dry & frizzy ? I bought it because of how my friends hair came out after using for some time but mine too comes out frizzy & dry !!

Why though cecily? What's in Pantene that's bad for our hair? Every time I have used the one for frizzy hair, it doesn't work in fact dried my hair out real bad and was still frizzy.

40+ years ago, it was "the Pantene System" and even celebrities rushed to buy it because there was nothing else "premium" much to buy. They had gold domed lids, and pastel hued bottles-pink, ivory, and an aqua-coded for your type of hair. I was more of a Vidal Sassoon girl myself, it smelled better, but I liked to switch between the two occasionally...ohh the 70s,before normal people got all pretentious! And like, every one used bars of ivory or dove! Anyone else remember that? Noooo? OK, ask your mom?? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?? ????

I used Pantene for years with no problems. Now it makes my hair very oily at the roots and dries out the ends. Also makes my head itch horribly.

I’ve been using Pantene for years, probably about 20 years. I’m 45 years old and have very thick, shiny, smooth, healthy hair. My sister is a beautician and also says that Pantene is bad IF you have damaged, over processed hair. I’m not sure of the science behind it either, but if you have healthy hair, then Pantene is not going to hurt it. I love the smell and their conditioner makes it about a bazillion times easier to comb after towel drying. My hair doesn’t fall out and I promise you that it’s still so thick that I have enough for at least 3 people.

Pantene contains some of the same ingredients as floor wax. Next time your at the store, compare the two! It’s crazy.

I’ve purchaded Pantene on and off for a few years. I love the smell, and my hair feels great. But I have 2 children that developed acne type rashes around their hair line and forehead. I was told by 2 different hairstylists to change my shampoo. When I did, both of them had their skin clear up. I was told it is a harsh shampoo for your hair, even though it appears to make your hair soft. What the actual ingredients are that cause the problem are I don’t know. I can only share my experience.

Apparently in time it makes your hair thin and fall out is what I’ve heard

I have to say.. My sister has been useing pantene for years. I would say about 7-8 years maybe even longer her hair is absolutely gorgeous thick full of Shine beautiful hair. I would use it on and off. Every time I don’t use it my hair looks dry brittle and terrible but when I start using it after a couple of weeks my hair becomes really silky and soft and thicker looking. So I would like to know why it is supposedly so bad for our hair when the results are phenomenal? I really would like to know why it’s so bad for your hair? So if someone can answer me that would be great ????

I’ve used panteen for 5 years and gave the longest and thickest hair you’ve ever seen. My hair looks like the insta models, except it’s real.

A long time ago a hairstylist told me to stop using Pantene because it's bad for my hair.
