Sitting at the same desk day after day can get a bit boring. And we bet that a cluttered workspace equals an unproductive workspace. So make it your own! Here are some tips that will help you make your space #deskgoals.
Bring photos of friends and family. Tape up Polaroids or place some framed pictures on your desk! It’s always nice to have your loved ones close by.
Add a candle to your desk. Not only will a candle smell amazing, it’s also a beautiful decor piece. One of our favorites is the D.L. & Co Candle in Blackberry Nectar (featured in our FabFitFun Winter Box!).
Hang up a calendar. It’s super cute, keeps you organized, and you’re always reminded of important dates!
Add some inspirational words. Who doesn’t love a great inspirational quote? Write your own or purchase a print. Frame it or simply tape it to your wall as a reminder to stay positive on tough days.
Bring a mug from home. Even if you’re not a caffeine addict (but, really, who isn’t?), bring a cute coffee mug from home (like this one from The Created Co., which is also in our Editor’s Box!). You can keep pens and pencils in it or fill it up with hot cocoa or tea. It’ll add a nice home-y feel to your office space.
Get a plant! Indoor plants are not only gorgeous, but also very low maintenance. If you’re still worried about your green thumb, consider getting a fake plant or hang dried flowers. Studies have shown that indoor plants can actually improve your concentration, memory, and productivity. Not to mention, there are also plants that improve indoor air quality and absorb radiation from your computer screen.
Keep a scarf on your chair. If your office A/C is always on, stay warm with a cozy, blanket scarf. It’s an easy way to add flair to your work chair (our favorite is the ModCloth Loch and Key Scarf from the Editor’s Box).
