How did you first discover your love for fitness and health?
As a young girl, starting at age 12, I was counting calories and going to the gym to purge, always trying to change my body. The first time I stepped into a dance studio, I realized that I could still get a great workout, but instead of watching the clock, I was truly enjoying myself. That’s when I really fell in love with working out and could make exercise something I looked forward to as opposed to something I dreaded.

What makes your workout method unique?
305 is so much fun and so easy to follow. The method is unique because we’re celebrating everyone in the class. It’s so much more than calorie counting — it’s about having time for yourself, to celebrate your incredible body and all the things it can do for you. It’s about celebrating life, expressing joy, and dancing out all your stress.

What are people most surprised about when they first try your workout?
People are often surprised that it is so easy to follow. Most people dread trying 305 because they think they aren’t dancers. You don’t need to be a dancer to fall in love with this class. As long as you can clap to the beat, you can do it!

What should a first-timer be prepared for when trying your workout?
A first timer should be ready to be a total goofball, let it go, and leave their worries at home. This is an environment where you can truly let your freak flag fly!

What’s one thing you hope clients take away from your workouts?
I hope 305 makes others feel unstoppable! It’s this refreshing, powerful burst of confidence, joy, and creativity that fuels me all week!

What’s your favorite part about helping people get into shape?
I love watching people push themselves in any way — physically, yes, to squat deeper and jump higher, but also mentally. I love watching people step out of their comfort zone and be willing to be a little goofball while working out.

Any client success stories?
I’ve seen clients undergo radical transformations in every sense. We’ve had clients who have lost 80 to 100 pounds in a year. We’ve also had clients who used 305 as a way to stay motivated in all areas. I had one client who wrote her first play and came to 305 every morning to pump herself up to write.
