FALL 2018 BOX PARTNER
Have you ever been in the middle of a workout, then all of a sudden you just felt like giving up? That’s why it’s crucial to prep before your actual workout, regardless if you’re doing spin, yoga, or pilates.
Below, we share five things you should do before a workout to ensure you kill it during your sweat sesh every time.
Hydrate
Make sure to hydrate before any workout. But instead of chugging water five minutes before you hit the gym, make sure you’re constantly sipping on water throughout the day.
Jam out
Whether you like hip-hop, electronic, or rock, listen to your favorite tunes to get pumped up for your workout. We love using the CYLO Cobra Bluetooth Earbuds because the onboard controls and neckstrap make it easy to jam out tangle-free.
Don’t skip breakfast
There’s a reason why everyone says breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Don’t forget to give your body the proper fuel it needs before your sweat sesh! We recommend oatmeal with peanut butter and bananas or greek yogurt and granola to stay energized throughout the workout.
Get a good night’s sleep
Despite how busy you are, you should always prioritize sleep. Whether you put your phone on airplane mode, read a calming book, or meditate, do whatever helps you find your zen so you wake up refreshed.
Make a plan
If you’re working out alone, map out a workout routine because you don’t want to interrupt the flow of your workout by figuring out which machine or what amount of weights you’re going to do next. Instead, write it down in your phone and include things like the number of reps you should do for each move, how long you should stay on a specific machine, or even your post-workout stretching routine.
