Vogue Brasil‘s latest photo campaign received tons of mixed reviews.

To promote the Paralympics, the media outlet Photoshopped two models, Cleo Pires and Paulo Vilhena, to emulate the disabilities of two actual Paralympians, table tennis player Bruna Alexandre and volleyball player Renato Leite.

Some openly criticized Vogue Brasil for using able-bodied models to represent Paralympians when there is already such a lack of representation of disabled people in the media.

However, Alexandre defended the campaign with an Instagram photo noting how the models “helped to intensify and spread the campaign aiming to increase visibility to the Paralympic Movement.”

The Paralympic Games run from September 7-18 in Rio.
