Planners are more versatile than you think. They can help you get your life organized, whether you need a place to write down your to-do lists, categorize your errands, or track weekly goals!

We especially love the Moleskine 2017 Weekly Planner (featured in the FabFitFun Winter Box) because the left side lays out the full week for you to plan your schedule, while the right side features a ruled page for you to customize.

If you don’t know where to start on customization, we gathered some inspiration from bullet journaling and Pinterest to show how you can personalize your Moleskine.

Create Sections With Washi Tape
The ruled section of your Moleskine has tons of potential besides being a section for random scribbles. Use washi tape (like these from ban.do) to divide the page into categories like an overall monthly view, to-do lists, weekly goal-tracker, or even inspirational quotes.

Track Your Goals
A planner is a great way to keep you in check of accomplishing any weekly or monthly goals. Use a ruler to create a weekly goal tracker (similar to the photo above) and list your goals. Fill in the squares with colored pens to mark if you’ve achieved the goal or not. It’s a creative way to keep track of how you’re keeping up with them.

Color Code Your Life
Color coding can really help with organization. Use different colors to designate tasks that are priority or to differentiate between types of events. For example, we used green for friends, blue for work, and purple for exercise! It’ll help you prioritize and keep track of important meetings. Plus, studies show that writing things down helps you remember them better.

Use Stickers and Doodles
The Moleskine also comes with a set of stickers to spice up your planner — so put them to good use! We used the phone sticker for a scheduled phone call with a friend to make it stand out and to ensure we remember this date. You can also use the stickers to decorate your customized sections.

Inspire Yourself
Your planner can be a great place to find inspiration. We created a section at the bottom of the page to write down some words of inspo. Find a new quote every week and write it down (or write it in calligraphy!) to keep yourself motivated throughout the week.
