Sephora is our go-to destination for all things beauty, and for good reason — their staff is personable, the return policy is amazing, and they offer unbeatable perks to their most loyal customers.
One of our favorite perks? The complimentary beauty classes…and the beauty giant just launched another similar perk. Say hello to Sephora’s Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer, Sephora’s first-ever class that focuses on beauty solutions for those whose skin and hair have been affected by cancer.
Sephora’s head of social impact, Corrie Conrad, hopes to not only offer makeovers through the classes, but to also empower clients and rebuild any confidence that was lost during treatment.
Each class will have no more than 12 people to ensure everyone gets the proper amount of attention — but friends and family are welcome to join! Both men and women are encouraged to participate as Conrad notes, “hair loss and skin effects from cancer treatments know no gender, and we want to be a safe space for all of our clients.”
Additionally, you might notice some employees sporting the Classes for Confidence pin (above) to indicate they’re another resource for those who are seeking tips and/or if they can’t make a class.
Fellow survivor and instructor, Michelle says, “To me, the pin represents bravery. Clients don’t have to feel scared or shy. I didn’t talk about having cancer. But seeing how much I have overcome, I see the good in this.”
The classes launch nationwide this week in over 40 stores across the U.S. including California, New York, and Oregon (just to name a few).
