Bad news, Sabra lovers. The brand known for it’s delicious hummus has just issued a recall.

Any customers who purchased Sabra hummus with a “best before” date of Jan. 23, 2017 or earlier are encouraged to discard the product. Sabra voluntarily recalled their products when they found traces of Listeria monocytogenes (it can cause serious infections if ingested) at their manufacturing facility.

Though no traces were found in the packaged hummus, Sabra followed new FDA criteria regarding “presence of contaminants in the general environment.” In response to the recall, CEO Shali Shalit Shoval said, “Working closely with the above mentioned experts, we are striving to exceed that and lead the industry in food safety.”

To receive a refund for affected products, you can visit this website. Sabra’s other products are still safe to eat, and you can call (866) 265-6761 with questions or concerns.
