We’ll always have a soft spot for anything millennial pink (who wouldn’t?!), but we’re ready to retire the shade in the new year.
While some have dubbed Gen Z Yellow as the next “it” color, Pantone says otherwise as the “color authorities” just announced the 2018 color of the year — and it’s none other than ultra violet.
When asked why Pantone chose this shade, Laurie Pressman, the vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, said, “We wanted to pick something that brings hope and an uplifting message.”
In light of the new shade, here are some of our favorite items in the ultra violet hue:
