From the oh-so popular cronut to the sushi burrito, food mashups aren’t anything new. And chefs still keep it comin’…but we’re not complain’.

Behold, the mufgel (say that 10 times fast). It’s a bagel and muffin combo that has foodies going crazy! It was concocted by Scot Rossillo, the self-proclaimed bagel artist who first created the viral rainbow bagels at The Bagel Store.

The mufgel is essentially a “muffin-y bagel” and according to Mashable, it was “inspired by a radio commercial that was making fun of viral food trends.” The commercial actually named the mufgel and Rossillo took matters into his own hands and turned this joke into a reality.

The Bagel Store sells only 42 mufgels a day at $3.50 per pastry. And of course, they sell out very quickly. The Bagel Store offers a variety of mufgels with bacon, egg, and cheese, fruity pebbles, and cream cheese. Yum!

Would you try the mufgel? Let us know in the comments below.
