Want Kim Kardashian’s Sold Out Contour Kit? Here Are 5 Amazing Dupes

by  |

If you’re at all obsessed with makeup, you probably heard about Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty Créme Contour and Highlight Kit.

Makeup pros and novices alike were so excited to get their hands on the $48 kits that it sold out in less than three hours when it launched on June 21.

Each kit (available in light, medium, dark, and deep dark) features two dual-ended sticks — one for contour and the other for highlight (one in matte and one in shimmer). It also comes equipped with a dual-ended brush (a sponge and kabuki brush) to make contouring quick and easy — so easy that Kardashian herself uses the kit to do her contour in five minutes.

Kardashian restocked the kits on July 6, and, of course, it sold out immediately. But before you think about paying up to $100 for a kit on eBay, check out these fan favorite alternatives that work just as well — if not, better.

Not only is this product way more affordable, it also features more product in comparison to the KKW dual-ended sticks as shown in this beauty guru’s video. Not only that, it’s paraben-free, phthalate-free, and sulfate-free.

Smashbox Studio Skin Face Shaping Foundation Stick $42
This two-in-one stick features a foundation stick on one side and a complementary soft contour shade on the other, saving you the extra effort of color-matching two products. The formula is buildable and goes on like butter, which makes it a dream to blend out with a brush or sponge.

If you like more of a matte finish, this dual-ended stick is your best bet. The contour is a cream-to-powder formula while the highlight is a cream matte. You can easily create a sculpted look with the two complementary shades.

Intimidated by cream sticks? Try this contour cream quad, which features everything you need in a convenient palette. It includes two highlighting shades and two contour shades to match your skin tone, whatever the season.

s1752484-main-Lhero Black Up Contouring Stick $42
This one’s for all of our women of color. The Paris-based line is dedicated to offering a variety of deeper shades to address the specific needs of darker skin tones. Even better, the creamy texture produces a powdery finish for easy blending (no sponge or brush necessary!).
