Since Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Corpus Christi, Texas on Friday evening, rescue teams and various organizations have been doing everything they can to provide aid to the victims.

While our hearts go out to everyone affected, it can be overwhelming to find different ways you can help, especially if you’re hearing about it from different parts of the country.

Whether you personally know some of the residents who were impacted or you simply just want to offer a hand, here are some ways you can help the victims.

American Red Cross
1,800 people were able to take refuge from the storm in 34 Red Cross and community shelters in Texas. As they continue to provide shelter and supplies for the victims, they are receiving donations online. You can also donate $10 by texting “HARVEY” to 90999 or donate via iTunes.

Salvation Army
42 mobile kitchens have been deployed to provide relief to the victims. They are also setting up teams in the main towns hit by Harvey to provide cleanup kits, shelter, supplies, and food. Donate online or by phone at 1-800-SAL-ARMY.

Food Banks
Feeding Texas has stepped in to ensure food distribution is quick and organized. Various local food banks are currently accepting monetary donations as well as food donations. Here are some local food banks you can support: Houston Food Bank, Galveston Food Bank, and Corpus Christi Food Bank.

Save the Children
The children’s relief fund will help protect children, provide shelter, and offer care. You can donate here.

Texas Diaper Bank
Diapers aren’t covered in many emergency shelters, which is why the Texas Diaper Bank is supplying diapers and other baby essentials for infants and families. They are accepting both cash donations and diapers that can be dropped off at their San Antonio location.

Airbnb
The house rental site is providing temporary shelter for residents who had to evacuate their homes. They are waiving all service fees for disaster victims checking in between August 23 and September 1. Click here if you would like to offer your space as well.

SPCA of Texas and Animal Defense League of Texas
SPCA and ADL are preparing to offer relief to animal shelters that were in the storm’s path. You can show your support for the animals and their owners by donating to ADL here and SPCA here.
