Any pool party or BBQ during the long weekend isn’t complete without a boozy batch of cocktails — and we found the perfect recipe. Skip the beer, red, white, and blue jello shots and opt for a libation that’s a bit more classy.
1833 of Monterey created a delish coconut milk punch that pairs great with any potluck dish. With pineapple juice, coconut milk, rum, and cinnamon, we’re certain this drink will be a hit until the fireworks start. Happy 4th!
Coconut Milk Punch recipe courtesy of 1833
Ingredients
Yields 10 cocktails
15 ounces aged rum
4 ounces housemade falernum
4 ounces pineapple juice
3 ounces lime juice
1 ounce cinnamon syrup
6 ounces coconut water
2 ounces coconut milk
6 ounces whole milk
Directions
1. Combine first six ingredients in container and last two ingredients in second container
2. Pour rum mixture into milk mixture. Stir occasionally and let sit for two hours
3. Strain punch through fine mesh sieve lined with cheese cloth and let sit 24 hours
4. Strain punch through fine mesh strainer lined with a coffee filter
