Where do we even begin? Part one of The Bachelor season finale put us through some major cringe-worthy and downright heartbreaking moments as Colton Underwood, who started the season seemingly confident, cracked under the pressure of finding love.

Last week’s episode left us hanging with Underwood’s infamous fence jump into the Portuguese wilderness after front-runner Cassie Randolf decided she wasn’t ready to commit and left the show. She basically shattered his fragile heart into a million pieces.

The first chunk of the finale was looking for the runaway bachelor. They eventually found him walking alone in a dark street (not sketchy at all), but he did not want to talk, that’s for sure. Harrison finally got him to calm down a bit, but Underwood said “he’s done,” like, with the whole thing. Um, did he really just quit? Can he do that?

The whole segment was difficult to watch as Underwood’s very raw and real emotions were displayed. He revealed his insecurities about never being good enough and feeling like he’s never loved back (sad face) — we still love you, Colton!

The next morning, Underwood was still very much beaten up over Randolf saying goodbye, but he decided that their love was worth fighting for. That meant he had two different women to break up with.

He said goodbye to Tayshia Adams first, who took it surprisingly well. While she was the one getting dumped, she was also the one who was comforting Underwood through it all as he was incredibly torn up about the whole situation. Talk about a class act. To be honest, we think she saw it coming since their #awkward Fantasy Suite date last week.

Hannah Godwin, on the other hand, didn’t take it so well. She hadn’t even gone on her Fantasy Suite date yet, so when Underwood showed up at her door, she was giddy and excited to see him as she thought he was surprising her for their date.

She was pissed, and, to be fair, we probably would be too. Underwood confessed that he actually fell in love with Randolf (maybe not the best thing to tell a girl when you’re breaking up with her). After Underwood left Godwin’s hotel room, that’s when the real waterworks began. He questioned his decision at first but realized he loved Randolf so much that he was willing to give up a solid relationship with the other women.

So what now? For the first time in The Bachelor history, the bachelor went from 30 women to zero. Well, as we said, Underwood expressed that Randolf’s love was worth fighting for, so he showed up at her hotel room door and…that’s the end of the episode.

We can’t wait to watch how part two of the finale unfolds tonight. Will she take him back and they live happily ever after? Our guess is, probably. It may not end in typical bachelor fashion with an extravagant proposal, but we think the two will make it work in a slow and steady relationship.
