Whether you like to indulge in candy or you’re just excited for all the Easter candy this weekend, your sweet tooth should never be denied. And just like your cravings for candy, Scandal’s craving for power never goes away. So to give you a taste on this week’s episode, Pencils Down, check out the sweets below:
Chocolate Bunny – Mellie
The public isn’t so keen on having Mellie as their next president, so it’s makeover time before the big debate. Mellie makes an effort to transform into everyone’s fave — just like the chocolate bunny. However, it doesn’t go so well as Mellie gets caught in a lie. Sorta like taking a big bite of the chocolate and having the entire bunny explode into little pieces.
Jelly Beans – David
Know that feeling when you dump too many Jelly Beans into your hand and can’t keep them from rolling all over the place? Well, David is all too similar with this feeling. He’s still juggling between two women, but he admitted he’s in love with Susan and is dumping Elizabeth.
Pez – Cyrus
Though Cyrus is now running Vargas’ campaign full time, it’s not going as planned. Vargas’ brother, Alex, pretty much takes over and turns Cyrus into a talking head. So Cyrus goes into investigation mode in order to dig up some dirt on the other candidates to get the power back.
Cadbury Egg – Olivia
These beloved eggs are so simple on the outside but have a major surprise on the inside. On the outside, Olivia is running Mellie’s campaign. On the inside, she’s still worried about Jake. After Quinn finds out that Jake is using Vanessa’s bank account to hide funding for a Super PAC, Olivia jumps into action. She informs Jake that whatever game he and her father are playing, she intends to win. Plus, now that her ex-fiancé, Edison, is running for president with Rowan’s Super PAC, Olivia has to decide where her loyalties really lie.
Whoppers Mini Robin Eggs – Alex Vargas
Alex is quite the game changer, even for being the new kid on the block. He approaches Olivia with some dirt on Susan in exchange for Edison’s secrets, but Olivia refuses. However, Olivia decides to make the exchange after Mellie’s blunder. But it turns out, the secret inside Alex’s envelope is really a whopper.
Fun Dip – Quinn
This candy is literally all sugar and Quinn is all about that. She’s acting sweet and energetic just to become BFFs with Jake’s fiancée, Vanessa. After chatting Vanessa’s ear off about wedding planning, they finally get to the good stuff. Vanessa spills all the details about her relationship with Jake and Quinn finds out the truth about their relationship. Jake is using Vanessa’s bank information for some shady things.
Peeps – Susan
No one is sweet, sugary, or brightly-colored like Susan. She’s knocking her practice debates out of the park until she finds out that David might be cheating on her. Then her brain pretty much turns to marshmallow fluff, and she can’t concentrate on anything. So, she decides to take matters into her own hands. She dumps Rosen right before the big debate and is back in the game.
