In this month’s edition of “Workout at Work,” we’re focused on getting gorgeous gams. Since we’re multi-tasking, calorie-burning masters (and also quite modest), we’ve created a few super effective thigh toning “in office” exercises that you can do while sitting at your desk. Just make sure that Bob from accounting isn’t watching. He’s got a weak heart and a strong spouse.
Inner Thigh Squeeze: Who needs those expensive gym machines when you have a good old water bottle handy? While sitting tall on your chair (or for more resistance use a stability ball), place a full water bottle between your knees. Squeeze the bottle with both knees. The key to this exercise is to squeeze the bottle slowly and tightly. Repeat 45 times and then drink the water.
Leg Extensions: Sit up tall with your abs contracted and extend one leg until it’s at hip level, making sure to squeeze your quadriceps. Hold this position for 2 seconds. Repeat this move on the other side. You can start with 6-8 reps on each leg and work up to 20. For more resistance keep a pair of ankle weights in your desk drawer and strap them on before you lift.
Toe Lifts: It’s time to kick those calves into shape. Stand up, abs contracted (if you read FFF often, you have probably figured out that your abs should almost always be contracted while working out) and lift all your body weight onto the tips of your toes. Repeat 30 times.
It may still be a little cold outside, but that’s no reason to not show off your killer legs in a mini — just make sure to grab some tights! That way you’ll be as hot as all the guys staring at you.
