It’s always a big day in the beauty community when a brand takes a step toward inclusivity. Well, Glossier just expanded its range of Perfecting Skin Tints and Stretch Concealers from five to 12 shades ( yes, 12) and added two more Wowder shades to make it a total of five – so, yeah, it’s a pretty exciting day.
“While the sheer coverage of our formulas makes [it] more flexible than traditional complexion products, we knew that there were gaps that needed to be filled,” Kym Davis, head of product development told Marie Claire.
After surveying, reviewing customer feedback, and testing with makeup artists, Glossier narrowed it down to 12 shades: G1 to G12. More notably, the beauty brand’s new shades start from rich, then goes to light (instead of the other way around). For example, G1 is the richest shade and G12 is the lightest shade. Neat, right? Not only that, Glossier created a handy Shade Finder to help you shade-match wherever you are.
