It’s International Women’s Day!
In case you’re not familiar with what that is, or you’re thinking, “Shouldn’t we celebrate that every day?” — the answer is “yes, we should.” However, March 8 is the designated day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women.
And in Lithuania, police officers are going out of their way to make women feel very special today. Instead of pulling them over to write them a ticket, they’re giving them flowers. In fact, the officers have been doing this for a few years now every March 8.
While you can see that gesture has clearly put a smile on the faces of many women, others are calling the act sexist. What do you think?
