Dainty, minimal jewelry has stood at the forefront of jewelry trends for years. But more recently, playful, statement-making pieces have been making their way into the spotlight.

Spotted on runways and fashion bloggers alike, here are five jewelry trends that are about to be everywhere, according to jewelry designer Jennifer Zeuner.

Layered Chains – Jennifer Zeuner Star Double Necklace

“Layered chains are timeless,” says Zeuner. “The chains don’t need to match, and the look is better achieved with different lengths,” she adds. The best part? You can take the guesswork out of it completely by opting for pre-layered necklaces like this beautiful star one.

Stacked Earrings – Jennifer Zeuner Mariah Earrings

“We always talk about layered necklaces and rings, and this year, layered earrings are also making a statement,” says Zeuner. “Multiple piercings are perfect for mismatched studs and can be paired with small huggies on the ear lobe.”

Colorful Enamels – Jennifer Zeuner Rae Enamel 14k Ring

“Colorful enamel jewelry is also on trend. This is evident in fine jewelry collections that are introducing large diamonds framed in enamel settings,” explains Zeuner.

Anklets – Jennifer Zeuner Iva Anklet

“Anklets are huge this summer! Dainty and chunky options can be layered for a cool look,” says Zeuner.

Hoops – Jennifer Zeuner Lou Earrings

“From the baby-sized [hoops] to the J-Lo-sized [ones], hoops are here to stay in both gold and silver tones,” shares Zeuner. She recommends the Lou hoops for the unique tubular shape – no wonder they’re a best-seller!
