Use the scrub side of the stick to apply to your lips generously to exfoliate. To get a better exfoliation you should rub your lips together or scrub with your finger. Gently wipe of the scrub so that you have a clean surface to apply the tint. Use the tint side of the stick and apply the product for a beautiful hydrating look.
