Water promotes oxidation, so it's a good idea to remove your jewelry before you swim, sweat, shower... Be gentle with your jewels. Direct contact with the fun things in hairspray, perfume and some cosmetics can make your jewels not happy. Store your jewelry in a zippered bag or pouch to keep oxygen away from your jewelry, on the rare occasion you are not wearing your Dogeared. To clean Sterling Silver: take a small bowl that holds about a quart of water and line it with aluminum foil. Add hot water, a tablespoon of baking soda and stir. Place your silver jewelry in the solution for about one minute, rinse clean and let air-dry.
