It seems like just yesterday we were introduced to the a-dork-able Jessica Day and hilarious banter between Schmidt and Nick, which is why we can’t believe the beloved FOX show, New Girl, is about to enter its last season ever. A three-year time jump

New facial hair
Coach, Winston, and Nick have all rocked a bit of scruff throughout the seasons, which leaves just one person — will Schmidt finally embrace some stubble?
A big announcement
There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the characters’ major milestones. Are Nick and Jess ever going to tie the knot? Is another New Girl baby on the way? Only time will tell what this “big announcement” is all about.
Schmidt and Cece’s daughter
In last season’s finale, we learned that Schmidt and Cece were expecting. Well, with the three-year time jump, we’re meeting their daughter much sooner than we thought. Get ready to witness the dynamic trio as Cece acts as the breadwinner and Schmidt plays the role of a stay-at-home dad, watching over their daughter, Ruth.
The return of a favorite ex
There have been a lot of exes coming and going on the show, but who’s returning for one last run? From Nick’s long-time girlfriend Caroline to Jess’ short-lived romance with Russell, there are so many characters worth putting our money on.
