We’re so excited to have the Short Stories x Joe Sasto Frying Pan in the Spring Box, and it’s inspired us to try out some delicious recipes from Chef Joe Sasto himself! These Chile Honey Roasted Radishes are the perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes and we’re definitely planning to serve them up all season long and beyond.

Chile Honey Roasted Radishes 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups radishes, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chile paste
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1/4 tsp dried thyme)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Radishes
    • In a large bowl, toss the halved radishes with olive oil, chiles, honey, thyme, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  3. Roast the Radishes
    • Spread the radishes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down. Roast for 15-18 minutes, until tender and caramelized, flipping halfway through for even roasting.
  4. Finish and Serve
    • Once done, remove the radishes from the oven and transfer to a serving dish. Optionally, sprinkle with fresh parsley.
