The Vision Behind the Brand: Q&A with Beia Founder Brittany Lo

Brittany Lo, CEO and Founder of Beia, has made a name for herself in the beauty world, creating products that provide the perfect blend of skincare and self-care, so women can feel confident and ready to take on the day. We sat down to chat with Brittany about her entrepreneurial journey, how she got the idea for Beia, and of course, the Bikini and Body Scrub available in the FabFitFun Spring 2025 Box!

Brittany, we are so excited to introduce you personally to the FabFitFun community! Tell us a bit about yourself.

From a young age, I knew I wanted to create a beauty brand. In second grade, I even wrote in my journal about my dream of starting my own company! After studying business in college, I turned down a dream job offer at a major beauty conglomerate to launch Beautini, a luxury bridal beauty service. Through working with thousands of women, I realized there was a gap in the market for high-quality, multipurpose skincare that addressed confidence-related concerns—things like sweat, odor, and ingrown hairs that can make you feel uncomfortable in your skin. That’s what inspired me to create Beia: clean, multipurpose skincare that targets concerns that affect our confidence, to help women feel confident in every aspect of their lives.

You’ve built two incredible brands—Beia and Beautini. Can you share a little about your journey as an entrepreneur and what led you to create Beia?

Starting Beautini was a dream come true—I built a multi-million dollar business helping brides feel their best on their big day. But what I didn’t expect was how many women I worked with who were looking for solutions to feel confident in their skin beyond just makeup. Brides would talk about stress breakouts, body blemishes, and feeling self-conscious about their skin before their honeymoon. I realized there wasn’t a skincare brand tackling these confidence-related concerns in a way that felt luxurious, effective, and beautifully designed. That’s when I knew I had to create Beia.

Beia is all about clean, on-the-go essentials that help women feel good in their bodies—whether you’re freshening up after a workout, prepping your skin for date night, or just taking a moment for self-care.

Beia is where sensual wellness and premium vegan skincare meet. How do you define sensual confidence, and why is it such an important part of self-care?

Sensual confidence is about feeling comfortable in your own skin—whether you’re in a boardroom, at brunch with friends, or in the bedroom. It’s that feeling of walking into a room knowing you look and feel your best, free from distractions like sweat, odor, or body blemishes. When you feel good physically, it has a ripple effect on your confidence, your relationships, and your ability to be present in the moment. That’s why Beia is more than just skincare—it’s about unlocking confidence from head to toe.

How do your two businesses—Beautini and Beia—connect? Did your experience in the luxury wedding space influence the way you approached skincare and intimate care?

Absolutely! With Beautini, I saw firsthand how beauty is deeply tied to confidence. It’s not just about looking good—it’s about feeling good. Many brides would share concerns about their skin, and I realized that confidence-related skincare wasn’t being addressed in a premium, thoughtful way.

With Beia, I took the same attention to luxury and experience that I put into Beautini and applied it to skincare. I wanted Beia to feel sophisticated, effective, and effortless—products that look beautiful on your vanity and fit seamlessly into a busy lifestyle.

Beia and FabFitFun both foster communities of strong, confident women. What does community mean to you, and why is it important to surround yourself with supportive, empowering friendships?

Community is everything. As women, we thrive when we lift each other up, whether that’s through friendships, mentorship, or brands that celebrate confidence and self-care. I’ve built Beia with that same philosophy—creating products that make women feel supported in their day-to-day lives, whether they’re running from a workout to a meeting or getting ready for a special night. How did the partnership with FabFitFun come about, and what excited you most about having the Bikini & Body Scrub in the Spring Box?

The Bikini & Body Scrub is all about helping women feel their best, whether prepping for a beach vacation or just indulging in a little self-care at home. Seeing it in the Spring Box means more women can experience firsthand how transformative it is for their skin and confidence.

Beia’s Refresh Wipes are part of our FabFitFun ReFills program, making them a staple in many members’ routines! What inspired you to create this product, and why do you love it?

The Refresh Wipes were born out of real-life necessity. I used to show up to events so worried about how I smelled that I wouldn’t be able to be fully present in the moment or even confident enough to introduce myself to new people. I knew there needed to be a solution that you could take with you on the go and actually remove odor, not just cover it up. Our wipes cleanse, hydrate, and deodorize all at once—so you’re left feeling fresh, not sticky or dried out. As someone who is constantly running to and from events, these wipes truly never leave my side!

Let’s talk about the Bikini & Body Scrub, your latest launch, featured in the Spring 2025 FFF Box! What inspired this product, and what makes it different from other body scrubs on the market?

We created this scrub because I could not find a scrub that catered to ingrowns and blemishes, while still being effective for full-body use. The Bikini & Body Scrub is designed to gently smooth and soften skin while preventing ingrown hairs and irritation, making it the ultimate pre-shave or pre-wax essential, as well as an every day exfoliator. (I even use it on my face!)

Many people struggle with concerns like ingrown hairs, KP, and dry skin. How does this scrub help address those concerns while also boosting confidence in your own skin?

We formulated the scrub with ultra-fine exfoliants and nourishing ingredients to gently buff away dead skin without irritation. It helps prevent ingrown hairs, smooth rough patches, and keep skin hydrated. Because when your skin is soft and blemish-free, your confidence shines through.

Beia’s products go beyond skincare—they’re about feeling good in your own body. How do you hope this scrub, and Beia’s full lineup, help women embrace their sensual confidence?

I want women to feel like their best selves, whether they’re stepping out in a bikini, getting ready for a date, or just enjoying a small moment of self-care. Beia’s products are designed to be easy, effective, and a little indulgent—so you can focus on feeling amazing in your own skin.

Beia is all about intentional, curated essential products. How do you decide what products to create, and what’s your approach to launching new items?

Every product we create solves a real problem (ones that I have myself!) and enhances confidence. I listen to my gut and am always asking our community what they are looking to see, and develop products that solve their problems and fit seamlessly into their routines.

Can we look forward to any exciting new Beia products in the future?

Yes! We’re always innovating and have some exciting launches in the works that will continue to redefine self-care and confidence. Stay tuned!

You recently launched the Bare It All podcast, where ambitious women share their routines, beauty secrets, and productivity hacks. What inspired you to start it, and what have been some of your favorite moments so far?

I wanted to create a space where women could have real, unfiltered conversations about confidence, beauty, and success. It’s been amazing hearing from inspiring women who are redefining what it means to be powerful and authentic and show that success comes in so many forms, and that there is not one way of getting there. My favorite part is going into the small daily habits that the guests have because I believe success starts with your everyday routine! Plus, it gives tangible actions our community can take right away to start their journey towards their goals.

If you could share one message or mantra of empowerment with the FabFitFun community, what would it be?
